Trying to understand systems that weren’t explained clearly.

Wanting to do the right thing
but not knowing where to start.

You’re not alone.

I remember what that felt like.

That’s where this space begins.

Not with pressure.
Not with expectations.
But with support that meets you where you are.

Here, we take what feels overwhelming
and gently make it clear and manageable.

We slow it down.
We make it make sense.

Because understanding shouldn’t feel out of reach.

The Bridge

I’m looking for you…

The version of you who didn’t have the words yet.
The one who felt lost in rooms full of information.
The one doing her best to hold everything together.

This is the middle space-
where confusion begins to turn into clarity,
and you don’t have to figure it out on your own.

Autism and School

Living This Life

Navigating autism and school can feel overwhelming very quickly.

There are evaluations, IEP meetings, accommodations, therapy recommendations, behavior concerns, schedules, emails, and so much information being handed to families all at once.

Sometimes it can feel like learning an entirely new language overnight.

As both a special education professional and autism parent, I understand that school support is about far more than paperwork. Families are trying to help their children succeed while also protecting their peace, supporting their needs, and making the best decisions they can with the information they have at the time.

This space was created to make things feel a little more approachable.

Inside Rising Calm, you’ll find:

  • simple explanations of special education and autism-related topics

  • IEP and school support tools

  • practical resources and printables

  • gentle guidance for families trying to figure out where to begin

  • and support that meets families with understanding, not judgment

Because no two children are exactly alike, and there is no single perfect roadmap for this journey.

My goal is simply to help families feel a little less overwhelmed and a little more supported along the way.

Behind every appointment, school meeting, therapy session, and checklist… there is real life.

There are tired mornings.
Unexpected hard days.
Small victories that mean everything.
Moments of doubt, growth, exhaustion, hope, and deep love all happening at the same time.

Living this life means learning as you go.

It means adapting constantly.
It means carrying responsibilities that many people never fully see.
And sometimes, it means trying to stay calm while holding far more than you ever expected to carry.

This part of Rising Calm is not about perfection.

It’s about honesty, encouragement, reflection, and creating space for the emotional side of the journey too.

A place for:

  • caregivers

  • overwhelmed parents

  • families navigating autism and special education

  • people learning to balance support, healing, faith, growth, and everyday life

You do not have to have everything figured out to belong here.

Sometimes you just need a calmer place to land while you keep moving forward.

Here’s a supportive place to begin. 💙
