Every resource is created with intention,
rooted in real experience
and designed to meet you exactly where you are.
Because I’ve lived in that middle space...
the one where you’re holding everything together
while still needing a place to land.
You don’t have to do it perfectly.
You just need support that understands the whole picture.
Because sometimes the next step
isn’t having all the answers,
it’s simply having a place to begin again.
Background & Approach
My approach is simple, but intentional.
I combine practical knowledge from education and behavior support
with real-life experience as a parent.
Everything here is created to be clear, usable,
and grounded in what actually works in everyday life,
not just what looks good on paper.
I focus on breaking things down in a way that feels manageable.
Not overwhelming.
Not clinical.
Not out of reach.
Because families don’t just need information,
they need support they can actually use.
What You’ll Find Here
This is more than a collection of printables.
It’s support for the full picture.
-
Guidance for understanding special education, autism, and navigating services
-
Tools for real life: home, routines, energy, and everyday overwhelm
-
Encouragement for the moments that feel heavy, uncertain, or in-between
And I realized something important:
Support shouldn’t feel confusing.
It should feel clear, practical, and within reach.

That’s why I created Rising Calm Studio.
The Bridge
Rising Calm Studio began as a personal need for calm
in the middle of overwhelming seasons.
What started as a way to process, reflect,
and keep going slowly...
became something more.
Because life doesn’t happen in categories.
It’s not just emotions, or routines, or support plans.
It’s everything, all at once.
It’s navigating home life
while trying to understand systems.
It’s carrying responsibility
while still processing your own story.
That’s where Rising Calm grew into a bridge-
A space that connects
understanding what’s happening
with knowing what to do next.
About Rising Calm Studio
Hi, I’m Kelly, the creator of Rising Calm Studio, and a special needs parent.
My work is rooted in both professional experience and real life.
I’ve walked through the same questions, decisions,
and overwhelming moments that many families face
when navigating special education and support services.
I know what it’s like to search for the right resources,
manage appointments,
and make the best decisions with limited time and energy.
That lived experience, combined with my background in education and behavior support, shapes everything I create.
For a long time, I found myself in the in-between spaces,
where parents are trying to figure out what comes next,
where services feel scattered,
and where support isn’t always clear.
